Who can receive a free booster seat?

Children at least 4 years old that weigh between 40 – 110 pounds and are between 40 – 57 inches tall. Additionally, the family must live in Alameda County, meet the applicable income threshold and have the child(ren) and vehicle present at the event to install the booster seat(s).

How many free booster seats can a family receive?

Two children per family may apply for a booster seat.

When is the last day I can register to receive a free booster seat?

Must I have a vehicle present at the event?

Yes. Each family must have a vehicle present at the event to install the free booster seat(s).

Must my child(ren) be present to receive a free booster seat?

Yes. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will assist in the selection and installation of each booster seat and child(ren) must be present in order to ensure the right seat is given and they are properly educated on its usage.

What if I can no longer make it to the event, can I still receive my booster car seat?

No. Families, including the child(ren) receiving the car seat(s) must be present at the event to receive their free booster seat.
